I am a high school library media specialist, drama director and theater teacher obsessed with technology, gadgets, music and creating lifelong learners. The “ruckus” in the title of this blog refers to the kind of activity and intensity I prefer to see in the library every day. The “ruckus” that ensues when a chess winning streak has been broken, when a student has just “wowed” the audience with a song during an Open Mic, when students bound in, eager to share the video they created, when… well, you get the idea.
I believe that libraries should be Active with thought, experimentation, creation, discussion, and discovery. Active with the thrill of the “ruckus” of learning.
